In the spring of 2006, thirteen music education majors from the Crane School of Music, State University of New York at Potsdam, sought to discover what music teaching and learning aimed at social justice might be. The project, a collaborative search in the course Multiculturalism in the Classroom, resulted in a series of teaching strategies authored by the participants.
